The party of two retrofitted the failing hydroponic tomato grow into the state’s only premium organic GMP-rated cannabis cultivation and processing facility including a new roof build, implementing all new lighting systems (LED), overhauling watering systems implementing new feed and fertigation schedules, as well as designing cyclical perpetual harvests cycles. Charles wrote applications for and was awarded all compliance and regulatory certifications for processing, both third party and state. He managed all farm regulators and audits. With limited capital Charles ensured zero material cost overruns as a result of OMMU, AG and/or third-party issues. As part of a pilot program to bring cannabis cultivation and processing up GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards, Charles obtained the very first CSQ (cannabis, safety, and quality) certificate on behalf of One Plant Florida in the United States. Charles is a Certified Lead Auditor for GMP, GAP, and CSQ.
By the time One Plant Florida moved to their new 54,000 sq/ft Indiantown Florida grow facility Charles oversaw all farm operations as well as growing and managing a staff of 100+ employees. While managing all farm operations he established policies and procedures for employees and created levels of management that would work under his supervision. He wrote and developed all SOPs for garden and processing and created demand planning with sales, accounting and finance to deploy product across One Plant Florida’s ever expanding store base throughout the state. Charles also developed and implemented KPIs across all operational departments for efficiency, cost and goals while managing supply chain for farm operations.
