Chris has worked on Wall Street and Capitol Hill and has successfully litigated, arbitrated, and mediated class actions and complex commercial disputes throughout the United States.
In 2000, Chris joined Holland & Knight LLP and successfully defended numerous class actions, complex commercial and securities fraud litigation, and arbitration matters. He then joined Gray Robinson to expand the securities litigation practice and successfully defended numerous complex commercial and securities fraud litigations and arbitrations pending before the NASD, NYSE, AAA, and FINRA.
In August 2004, he joined Milberg LLP. At Milberg LLP, he became an Equity Partner, worked out of the Manhattan and Tampa, Florida offices and successfully prosecuted numerous complex securities and consumer fraud class actions in jurisdictions around the country, resulting in millions of dollars of recoveries for thousands of class members. Chris joined Morgan & Morgan in 2012 as the Co-Chairman of the securities fraud, commodities, and antitrust class action department a, where he successfully litigated shareholder derivative cases, securities fraud class actions, and consumer class actions on behalf of defrauded investors and consumers.
Chris entered the cannabis industry in 2017, serving as Chief Legal Officer, and head of Mergers & Acquisitions. At the beginning of 2020, Chris joined Bluma Wellness Inc. d/b/a One Plant Florida as the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. He was instrumental in creating, directing, and overseeing all legal, regulatory, licensing, and compliance affairs of the organization, which operated in the highly regulated cannabis industry in Florida. Chris was heavily involved in the strategic operations of the organization, advising the Board of Directors and members of Senior Management, maintaining governmental relations, and pursuing lobbying efforts on behalf of the organization and industry.
