After leaving the automobile industry he began a career in financial services from 1997-2015. Started at Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor with a focus on commercial clients for cash management, lending and retirement services. Mike then left Merrill Lynch to join Gibraltar Bank FSB for private banking and lending. During his tenure, he was the regional executive manager overseeing a $235MM banking operation in Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Following a decade at Gibraltar Bank, Mike joined City National Bank in executive leadership for Private Banking, Lending and Investments.
Mike was lured away from banking in 2015 to serve as a Director at start-up Sato Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Sato Holdings Corporation a publicly traded worldwide software, printing and consumables business. He focused on the business’s inventory, logistics, supply chain and retail applications for traditional retail companies. Business partners included Intel Corp, British Telecom, Levi’s, L-Brands and Abercrombie & Fitch.
In 2018 Mike joined Brady Cobb to assume operational control of 3 Boys Farms the license which became Bluma Wellness d/b/a One Plant Florida, a publicly traded company. Mike served in multiple executive level roles including its President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy officer. Oversight included the siting and purchase of over 25 dispensary sites throughout Florida. Entitlement, municipality use, design and build-out of all dispensary sites. Site development and construction of a 55,000 square foot hybrid greenhouse along with additional planning for another 225,000 square foot expansion; combination of hybrid and indoor greenhouse along with a 65,000 square foot processing and manufacturing facility. Financing for all assets. State-wide delivery services with call-center dispatch and all technology services across the enterprise. Sold Bluma Wellness to Cresco Labs for $213MM plus assumption of debt to Cresco Labs in April 2021.
